Orange Belt (6th Kyu) Requirements

Quick Links: stances, punches, strikes, blocks, kicks, kata/forms, drills, self defence, sparring, optional requirements, general grading comments.

Introduction:
The Yellow Belt training period is designed to build on the basic skill sets developed during the white belt training time. Consequently, strong rooted stances and solid techniques are still emphasized during this time. Additionally the training increases the element of movement during the delivery of the strikes, blocks and kicks. The angle of attack used in the kata now adds 45 degree movements to the 90 degree movements used in the white belt katas.
